Everquest 2 Gold - A Virtual World with a Real-World Economy

If there's a demand for something, the market will respond. For proof, you need look no further than EverQuest 2 gold. Although EverQuest 2 gold has no existence in the real world and probably never will, for more than a year hordes of people have been buying it like it's going out of style.
How's that work again?
Back in 2001, a gamer named Edward Castronova noticed a curious thing: that the economy of his favorite game, the MMORPG called EverQuest, was doing better than the economies of a lot of real-world countries. Since Castronova was also a professional economist, he did a few calculations and came to the startling conclusion that people in Norrath, the EverQuest gameworld, have a better per-capita income than real-world Bulgarians. In fact, Norrath ranks as the 77th richest nation in the world -- or would if it were real. Real or not, EverQuest's platinum had become a valuable commodity on the Internet; and EverQuest 2 gold, the currency of the EverQuest sequel launched in late 2004, has become more valuable still.
The scramble for EverQuest 2 gold
It may seem like a fantasy (and a decade ago it would have been), but the rise of the Internet has made even virtual cash like EverQuest 2 gold worth trading. Internet commerce has become so simple that it's a snap to purchase EverQuest 2 gold online. Whereas EQ platinum goes for a mere $0.54 per thousand, you'll have to pay an average of $0.17 per EverQuest 2 gold -- and it takes 100 EverQuest 2 gold to make a platinum. Not too shabby, that. Of course the value of EverQuest 2 gold varies from day to day and from site to site.
Real Estate Investing Benefits

There are many reasons why investing in real estate over other investment avenues is a safer and more profitable route to take and we will go over just a few of these factors with you in this article.
First thing to note is that if you look at the real estate market as a time line compared to the stock market you will notice that real estate is a growing line with few major fluxuations. On the other hand the stock market has high points and valleys that range from quick highs to sudden drops through out its history. Its harder to look at the time lines of other forms of investing i.e. currency investing, mutual funds, buying gold and silver etc - but one thing is clear, no other market is as profitable or as safe as the investment real estate market.
Many people ask me Why is investing in real estate such a safe investment? and the answer is as simple as it is complicated, the quick answer is God isnt making any more of it the more complicated answer isnt as poetic. The reason investing in real estate has so many benefits has many factors, I will go over the basics with you now:
1. Government Tax Breaks - The United States government has setup multiple tax breaks for real estate investors including the very popular 1031 exchange. The textbook definition of a 1031 exchange is:
"A 1031 exchange or Like kind exchange is defined by section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code. This code specifies that if an asset, usually some form of real estate such as land or a building, is sold and the proceeds of the sale are then reinvested in a like kind of an asset then no gain or loss is recognized, allowing the deferment of capital gains taxes."
The simple explanation is as long as you reinvest the money you made from your real estate investment into another investment you dont have to pay taxes on said profit. No other form of investing gives you this much freedom with taxes.
2. Anyone Can Invest - Because real estate investing is so profitable and safe it sees a huge amount of amateur investors entering the market everyday. Why else do you think all these infomercials are on late at night talking about the millions theyve made overnight with someones CD set? O.k. Im not saying that buying one of those CD sets will make you a millionaire but they are good to learn the basics of real estate investing from. The big problems with these CD sets is they teach making millions in real estate with bad credit or without spending a dime. This is not the case, 99.9999% of the time you will need excellent credit and a good amount of money for the down payment on an investment property (usually 10-20%).
3. Other Peoples Money - Why invest your money when you can invest someone elses? One of the big rules in real estate investing is If someone is willing to flip the bill - let them. Banks are more then willing to give out a loan to buy houses because unlike other forms of investing they have something tangible they can keep if you dont pay up. Banks are usually not as willing to give loans for stock or gold investing because the stock you invested in maybe worth nothing by the time you sell and the bank has nothing OR you take your gold and run across the border. Real estate is almost always going to be worth something (often increasing in value every year) and their hasnt been a recorded case yet of someone taking a house across the border.
Right now the investment real estate market is booming like never before in history and those investing in it are being rewarded more so then in any other time in. If you want more information on this explosive market feel free to visit my website or give me a call and I will answer any question you may have.

Reading About IRAs Can Open the Door to Your Future

If you are like millions of Americans, you have spent several years saving your hard-earned cash. However, most of the time a simple interest-earning savings account is not enough! If you intend to prepare adequately for your future, you need to investigate the many options for investing your money.
Because there are so many choices for investing, it is necessary to find the right mix of investments into which you should place your money. Simply investing in long-term CDs (certificates of deposit) will earn you returns above what a savings account can provide.
By spending some time reading, you will learn the basics of investments such as IRAs (Individual Retirement Accounts), Roth IRAs, CDs, stock and bond portfolios, 401ks and other options.
Lets talk about why IRAs are different.
IRAs are not simply vehicles for investing cash, much like a savings account. An IRA is a combination of investments which earn you funds for retirement. An IRA can be stocks, bonds, money market accounts and even CDs.
IRAs are a great option for most people, because there is a significant tax advantage to investing now and paying taxes later. Because you are investing pre-tax dollars when you contribute to an IRA you will most likely be able to stretch your investing dollars further than if you were to select other options.
Naturally, you will eventually have to pay taxes when that saved money is withdrawn. It is important to keep this in mind when making the decision to open an IRA account.
Roth IRAs operate a bit different as an investing tool. These IRA accounts require the investing of post-tax dollars. While you may not be able to invest quite as much as a standard IRA, you will not be taxed upon withdrawal.
Anyone who is under age 70.5 is eligible to open an IRA account. Those who are not given retirement benefits through their job are able to deduct the funds they are investing annually into their IRA. Roth IRAs have more stringent investing limits however, depending upon income. Roth contributions are also never tax deductible.
Because our parents generally held jobs which provided methods for investing in the future, and many depend on Social Security and pension checks each month, we can learn from their mistakes in some cases. The key to a successful retirement is to being investing as early as possible, and to thoroughly investigate and compare all of the investing options available.
Investing Idea

Besides educating yourself, the best way to find undervalued investment is to have lots of investing idea. Having investing idea allows you to compare investment alternatives and pick the best one.
People sometimes lament that they seldom find stocks that fill the criteria as undervalued. How can you find a 0% growth stock at a P/E of 13.4? A lot of companies are trading at a P/E of 20 or more. How can you find companies that have positive net cash? Lots of companies have more debt than they have cash.
All of the above is true. Most companies do not trade at undervalued territories. A lot of them also incur a lot of debt and their balance has a negative net cash balance. And that is why you will be rewarded when you can find undervalued stocks. Think about it. If a 0 % growth stock is traded at a P/E of 10 and its fair P/E value is 13.4. This is a 34% potential return.
To get that kind of potential return, investors need to sort out good companies from the bad and be more selective in buying a stock. This is where investing idea comes into place. When you receive plenty of investing idea, you can be more selective in buying the common stock. So, where can you find investing idea?
One good investing idea source is stocks that fall near its 52 week low. Businessweek screener seems to provide a decent neatly arranged results. For links, you can visit our commentary section and read this article. Another good source for investing idea is by reading financial news from various publications such as The Motley Fool, CNN, thestreet.com and smartmoney. Stocks that fall hard are sometimes mentioned here.
Finally, a good source of investing idea is by regularly visiting our commentary section at: http://www.noviceinvesting.com. You may not agree with our assertion but at the very least it will open your mind about other possibilities and industries. The best thing of all is that it is free ! You can access useful commentary from various sources with zero cost. What else can you ask for?

The Truth About Gold Jewelry

Without a doubt, Gold is one of the worlds most precious metals. It is also a certainty that gold enjoys an unsurpassed popularity as a medium for jewelry expression. Both jewelry artisans and consumers alike are "in love" with gold. There seems to be no end to the range of colors, finishes and styles available and gold remains a perennial favorite setting for gemstones.
Gold can last forever, will not corrode or rust and can be found anywhere. Gold exists in plants, rivers, oceans, mountains, its nearly everywhere but it is extremely difficult and costly to extract this amazing metal. Did you know that a single ounce of gold can be pulled into a thin wire that stretches nearly five miles long? An artisans hammer can work that same ounce into a very thin sheet that can cover a 10ft x 10ft(100sq. ft.) area. Also, it takes nearly 3 tons of gold or to extract a single ounce of pure gold. Well if you didnt now you know!
Gold Basics
The word Gold, used by itself, means all gold or 24 karat (24K) gold. Because 24K gold is soft, its usually mixed with other metals to increase its hardness and durability. If a piece of jewelry is not 24 karat gold, the karat quality should accompany any claim that the item is gold.
The karat quality marking tells you what proportion of gold is mixed with the other metals. Fourteen karat (14K) jewelry contains 14 parts of gold, mixed in throughout with 10 parts of base metal. The higher the karat rating, the higher the proportion of gold in the piece of jewelry.
Most jewelry is marked with its karat quality, although marking is not required by law. Near the karat quality mark, you should see the name of the U.S. registered trademark of the company that will stand behind the mark. The trademark may be in the form of a name, symbol or initials. If you dont see a trademark accompanying a quality mark on a piece of jewelry, look for another piece.
Solid gold refers to an item made of any karat gold, if the inside of the item is not hollow. The proportion of gold in the piece of jewelry still is determined by the karat mark.
Jewelry can be plated with gold in a variety of ways. Gold plate refers to items that are either mechanically plated, electroplated, or plated by any other means with gold to a base metal. Eventually, gold plating wears away, but how soon will depend on how often the item is worn and how thick the plating is.
Gold-filled, gold overlay and rolled gold plate are terms used to describe jewelry that has a layer of at least 10 karat gold mechanically bonded to a base metal. If the jewelry is marked with one of these terms, the term or abbreviation should follow the karat quality of the gold used (for example, 14K Gold Overlay or 12K RGP). If the layer of karat gold is less than 1/20th of the total weight of the item, any marking must state the actual percentage of karat gold, such as 1/40 14K Gold Overlay.
Gold electroplate describes jewelry that has a layer (at least .175 microns thick) of a minimum of 10 karat gold deposited on a base metal by an electrolytic process. The terms gold flashed or gold washed describe products that have an extremely thin electroplating of gold (less than .175 microns thick). This will wear away more quickly than gold plate, gold-filled or gold electroplate.
Vermeil (ver-may), a special type of gold plated product, consists of a base of sterling silver that is coated or plated with gold.
Why Invest Money in Stocks?

Are you considering investing in stocks? Many people have chosen stocks as their primary wealth building vehicle.
There are a ton of reasons for investing in stocks but Ill leave you with the most beneficial reasons.
When you buy a stock you are actually a partial owner of the company and if you do your research you can own a very successful company that will reward you for years to come.
Stocks on average grow over 10% a year and thats a lot more than a certificate of deposit (CD) at your local bank.
Your risk is minimal as long as you dont put all your money in one stock or in companies that are similar. Youll want to diversify some of your money into other companies.
You will be taking part in an American pastime and will be learning more and more about your finances.
You will be helping the economy when a company first sells their stock to the public they have what is called an Initial Public Offering (IPO) which brings money in for the company and helps them grow.
So you see investing your money in stocks is really a good thing and if you have some money you can afford to lose (yes stocks can go down) then you should seriously consider learning more about the stock market and investing some of your money in it.

How to Invest in the Stock Market

Are you looking to invest in the stock market but arent sure where to start?
If youre like most stock market investors youve heard dozens of opinions on how to invest in stocks but it really boils down to just a few things.
You need to setup a brokerage account and then pick a strategy to use.
I use a broker called Scottrade http://www.scottrade.com/ and they seem to be fine for my purposes.
After you have setup a brokerage account you then need to pick an investing style.
The two main styles are:
Growth investing where you buy stocks whos earnings are growing faster than others.
Value investing where you buy stocks that are undervalued because they are trading at a lower price than what the company is actually worth.
Growth stocks generally are high-tech and medical companies where when I think of a value stock I think of companies like Coca-Cola or Gillette which sell more everyday type items that arent as new or exciting.
You then need to decide which method is best for you and stick with it.
After choosing your method you need to research how to invest in that particular method. This is beyond the scope of this article and I recommend you do a search for growth investing or value investing on your favorite search engine.
Then research some companies and find which ones seem to be the best and invest some money in them, but only invest money you can afford to lose. I dont want you to invest money in stocks if you might need that money to eat next week or pay the rent., stocks can go down.
Hopefully you have found that stock market investing can be a wonderful thing to learn more about and can be quite profitable.
Why You Need To Buy and Sell Gold Coins (Part 6)

Pre-1933 Gold Outperforms Today's Gold Bullion...
Since 1970, an investment strategy that included Pre-1933 gold has been proven to outperform modern gold bullion, gold bars, Krugerrands, Canadian Maple Leafs, or American Eagles.
In fact, $1,000 invested in common date, Pre-1933 Gold coins has a market value of $19,595. But, gold bullion would be worth only $7,429.* Clearly, investing in common date gold coins has paid off handsomely.
Truly Rare Coins Bigger Winners- But, Collectors Universe reports that you would have done even better by acquiring investment quality, U.S. Rare Coins back in 1970. The CU3000 would be worth $54,158 and Mint State, Rare Gold would be worth $74,299 today, far outperforming gold or the Dow over the last 30 years.
Pre-1933 Gold Offers the Best Leverage - As you might expect, classic Pre-1933 U.S. gold coins are directly affected by the rising price of gold. When gold goes up, the generic gold coins follow. However, many people don't realize that Pre-1933 gold coins offer substantial leverage to the gold market and advantages over modern gold bullion coins like American Eagles.
Pre-1933 Gold Soared When Gold Was Flat - However, sectors of the U.S. Rare Coin Market and the gold markets dont move in tandem. Generic gold coins soared in value in the early 1970s, in the 1976-1980 Bull Market for coins, and again in the mid-1980s despite the fact that gold prices were relatively flat.
In today's marketplace, gold trades near 20-year lows and generic Pre-1933 gold is also highly undervalued. Both offer investors a good soure of value during a time when high-tech stocks are crashing, the economy is headed for a recession and inflation is rising quickly.
All of these factors have historically put investors in a position of a flight to safety from paper assets into hard assets. When investors suddenly enter the U.S. Rare Coin Market, the demand can quickly overwhelm the limited supply.

What Is An Un-circulated Coin?

You may have heard the terms proof coin and un-circulated coin, but what's the difference between these two? To understand the difference between a proof and un-circulated coin, let's first answer the question, "What is an un-circulated coin?"
Un-circulated means a coin has not had any wear, such as the wear a coin might experience when it is used in commerce. Handling a coin, as well as improperly storing a coin, can result in wear on the surface of the coin. This wear, even if very minor, will cause a coin to no longer grade un-circulated.
When coins are minted they often bump into each other and receive small nicks and abrasion marks during the production process. These marks also occur as coins are transported in large canvas bags. These marks, sometimes called "bag marks", are more noticeable on larger coins, such as half dollars and dollars. Typical "bag marks" do not keep a coin from grading un-circulated. However, they can be an indicator of how high of a grade the un-circulated coin might receive.
Current accepted grading standards provide for a range of un-circulated grades, from the grade of MS-60 to MS-70. MS60 would be a lower grade (yet still) un-circulated coin with normal bag marks for that type of coin. Anything below MS-60 would not be considered un-circulated. MS70 would be the perfect "ideal" coin. Some coins are rare in grades MS65 to MS70, and even unheard of in MS70 grade. (The attribute "MS" stands for "mint state".)
A newly minted proof coin is also un-circulated, however it is the way it is made that causes a difference in appearance and qualifies it as a "proof". To understand this, let's look at how coins are made. Coins are produced when two dies strike a blank piece of metal with tremendous force. One die is engraved with the front (obverse) design for the coin. The other die has the back (reverse) coin design on it.
A proof coin is made with a specially polished and treated die! By treating the die in a special way, the coins it produces have a different appearance. Modern technology allows the high points on the coin design to be acid treated (on the die). The background (field) design of the coin die is polished, resulting in a mirror-like look on the coin it strikes. This gives the finished coin a frosted look (frosting) on the raise parts of the design, with a mirror like finish on the background. This contrasting finish is often called "cameo". On some older coins a cameo appearance is quite rare. The attribute "CAM", when added to a coin's description, means cameo appearance. "DCAM" means deep cameo, and indicates the cameo appearance is strong and easy to observe.

Self Serve Car Washes in the United States

In the 2003 Auto Laundry News Survey it was determined that only 10% of the Coin-op Car Washes had a web site. So if you are doing lots of individual research on car washes that are self serve, do not expect to find a lot of data on the Internet. Owners of coin-op car washes say that only 76% have internet access. The average population is 64% in the US. Not much better, so this low tech sector of the Industry seems to remain un Tech. Only 15% of coin-ops surveyed took credit cards for tokens, machines or even concession machines. Of which 17% only claimed to have concession machines, which most feel are 1/3 of their income if they had them. Only 4% had drinking water fountains. 13% had added an in bay automatic in the last five years. 51% had more than one location.
Today I visited 3 car washes that were coin ops owned by the same person. One had seven bays, another had three bays and one automatic, another had a car wash in front with 4 bays and an automatic and another car wash in the back with 4 more coin-op bays. All had attendants and machines. The survey seemed to follow the study of today. 68% said they were in middle-income areas. Only 7-9% had more than 5 car wash sites from 2000-2003 surveys and generally they were not all in only one city. Those with automatic in bay units found that those inbay units generated a gross of $5,435.00 and The average costs including Equipment was nearly $2,000.00, with the average breakdown time 2 weeks per year. 15 days. Best season was winter for the industry. Spring was also considered very good. Noon to 7 pm were the best hours. Busiest day of week was Saturdays. Only 18% have attendants. 43% had part time attendants and mostly on weekends. Average monthly gross income per bay was $1300.
The units we visited today seem to be inline maybe slightly higher than this of the Auto Laundry News Survey. All surveyed said that 2002 they made less money than previous years, which would make sense due to the lesser amount of personal monies, less money flow in this recession and lower employment figures. Also things, which plague the industry, were droughts and water shortages, restrictions and public perception about water. 20% of all owners of coin-ops are thinking of building another one. 27% said they did have other self serves in their car wash area of marketing.
Average coin-op being built cost $226K in equipment and $300K in land and improvements. This is why we are not interested in talking to poor people who think they want to build a car wash and think they will not have to work once built. We have talked to people wishing to build car washes with $30,000 down payment and think that they can build it for $45,000 I have to tell you judging by what we have learned and this survey you would not even be close.
Even with an SBA loan you need 20% down, so you would need $100K to do the deal if everything went right in most cities of any population base worthy of a good volume business. The Survey had some interesting thoughts, which said the average vacuum coin-op made $.20 per minute and each bay made $.38 per minute. We hoped you enjoyed this review of the survey to get the actual survey go to the Auto Laundry News Magazine web site.
The Gandhi and the Lady's Coin

This is an very interesting and inspirational story, This story changed the millions of peoples in the era of the great Gandhi and still has the same effect, This is an story of a The Gandhi and the Lady's Coin"
Mahatma Gandhi went from every city and village for uniting peoples and collecting funds.
During one of his tours he addressed a meeting in Orissa( Part of India). After his speech a poor old woman got up. She was bent with age, her hair was gray and her clothes were in tatters.
The volunteers tried to stop her, but she fought her way to the place where "Gandhi" was sitting. "I must meet him," she insisted and going up to Gandhi then from the folds of her sari she brought out a copper coin and placed it at his feet.
Gandhi picked up the copper coin and put it beside carefully. Fund Manager said "I keep cheques worth thousands of rupees and what to do with a copper coin." in reply Gandhi said, "We have to keep this coin because this copper coin is worth much more than those thousands, If a man has several millions and he gives away a thousand or two, it doesn't mean much.
But this coin was perhaps all that the poor woman possessed. She gave me all she had. That was very generous of her. What a great sacrifice she made. That is why I value this copper coin more than a millions of rupees. she has not scarified the copper coin for me but for the freedom and welfare of this nation and along with the coin she gave us a lesson of genuine generosity & commitment to the nation"
Gandhi said," She remind me and all of us the 3 deeds these are
1. in crucial things, unity

2. in important things, diversity

3 . in all things, generosity
Gandhi is a person who changed the peoples, but he never hesitated to change and learn form other peoples too.
This real historic story taught me one thing,
"In life you will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called LIFE where you will have opportunity to learn lessons, you may like it or think them irrelevant and stupid."
The lesson of generosity, That's why this story changes the people; What about you?
Thanks for your time consideration

Before There Was Wall Street, There Was Gold.. & when Wall Street is gone, there will still be Gold

Paper burns and large companies can go bankrupt, but if you want a piece of the solid rock, go for Gold. Financial experts agree that the rising value of gold, which has climbed since 2001 to a 16 year high of $456 (U.S.) an ounce, is going to be spurred on in 2005. Precarious world situations, from political turmoil to flailing currencies, are taking a toll on the trade markets. The cry for stability and future security is high on the priority list for North Americans and can also be heard pulsating around the globe. Gold, along with the precious metal industries, is emerging as a reliable anchor for many investors at home and abroad.
In his well documented publication '15 Reasons To Own Gold' analyst John Embry, from the Sprott Gold & Precious Metals Fund, states that on a global scale, "Gold as Money is Gaining Credence." Indeed, many countries including India, China, Russia and the Middle East are moving towards a secure hold on gold supply and a serious interest in the incorporation of gold into their monetary systems.
Economist Dr. Gary North overviews the many ways to buy gold, and advises people that when looking to invest, "Promises to pay are never as reliable as gold in hand." Whether conscious or subconscious the public mind seems to agree with this persuasion. The growing trend towards gold can be seen at the grass roots level with the consumer demand for fine jewelry. According to The World Gold Council, the demand for jewelry is rising faster than the production of gold.
The jewelry industry, though generally steady in its revenues, has been more of a 'buyers market' in past years, with highly competitive price war campaigns and marketing strategies. These tables may now be about to turn, as the increasing demands on the gold market are expected to affect retail prices within the year. Tom McDonald of
goldmisers.ca says, "Now is the time to buy!" Gold Misers is an online jewelry outlet which sells high quality fine jewelry at wholesale prices to the public. "Being at the root level of the jewelry industry it's easy to see the coming market trend. I would advise anybody to invest in a little golden nest egg."

World of Warcraft - How to Get the Maximum Gold?

World of Warcraft is one game that can be worked around if one has a lot of Gold. Gold possession is the most important aspect of playing. Gold is the basic foundation of your existence in the game. To buy items form other players and vendors, you need gold. To get training and acquire new skills from the trainer, you need gold. Gold enhances your character in World of Warcraft as in any other MMORPG game.
The most important factor that contributes to building your character in World of Warcraft is to become a professional early i.e. to take up or grab a profession like skinning or mining. Killing animals and selling their skin to others is a profitable profession that rakes in gold as well as moulds your character by leveling out, two birds with one arrow. Mining, similarly can give you unexpected mounds of valuable or demanded mineral ores that can be sold for a premium to make a killing profit and enhance your profession as well. That is the value of profession and its contribution to your character building.
World of Warcraft undoubtedly integrates the best questing compared to other MMORPG games. Quests can be used to give you a huge advantage over others. Always get hold of a quest whenever you can. Leveling a quest takes little time, but EXP gained from killings in the quest and the rewards of completing a quest have their distinct advantages like gaining some important items and of course money. Add on bonuses of quest completion can lend you greater speed and better character through becoming richer.
Usage of gears in World of Warcraft is certainly advantageous but will deplete your gold resources heavily. Investing in gears in the initial levels from 1 to 40 would not be worth the gold spent. These levels have lesser gear dependency and you can complete these levels from what you gain from the quests. Keep the gold and wisely invest in higher level gears.
Keep track and observe the drops of your kills. Humanoids in World of Warcraft drop more items and gold compared to other mobs, so, level yourself killing as many humanoids as you can.
The bottom-line is Gold, the more you have, the better off you would be, World of Warcraft or not. All the best

Coin Collecting Throughout the Ages

Coin collecting, or numismatics is a hobby as old as time. As a hobby, it has been around for more than 2,500 years. This is surprising since the use of coins has been around for pretty much that same amount of time too. Man has always had a fixation for small, round, shiny things. And throughout the ages, coin collectors have always been on the prowl for the oldest, rarest, most attractive coins around.
Numismatics comes from the Greek word nomisma, meaning currency, or coin. It is also related to the study of banknotes, tokens, and other early forms of money.
Coins and other forms of money are issued by governments and other monetary agencies. Billions of these flood the market yearly. But as time goes by, the number of these coins go down. Some get lost and some are damaged beyond recognition.
This goes to show that the older the coin, the rarer it must be. And for coin collectors, this is prime stuff.
Coin collectors and hobbyists number millions around the world. This hobby is taken so seriously that there are even professional dealers and investors who ply their trade in this fashion.
The lure of coins lies in its power to draw people into the era it belonged to. These coins show many aspects of everyday life during those times. By examining a coin, one comes to know the geography, philosophy, sociology, artistry and other aspects of the culture they existed in.
Ancient kings (and even todays leaders) had a telling habit of having their faces imprinted on their currency. Some historians have been able to put together clues regarding the ancient civilizations using these coins. Sometimes, coins would tell of a leader or prominent figure that would have been forgotten by time if it were not for these coins.
Hobbyists usually start collecting coins from their own locality. This makes sense because they are the easiest to collect. These hobbyists then expand their collection to coins from increasingly farther and earlier origins.
Coin collectors regard every single coin as a unique specimen. They take note of the date, the mint marks, and even the abnormalities in its design. Ironically, some of the most expensive coins are those with the strangest abnormalities. This is because this type of coin is hard to come by.
For example, there could be a coin in existence that differs from other coins in its batch. For some unknown reason, it lacks some of the required markings. Such coins are deemed more valuable than the normal coins of its type.
A good number of coin collectors collect coins according to themes. The coins they collect all have a common topic. Some collect coins related to kings and queens. Some collect those related to plants and animals.
The price for a coin is determined by the demand for this coin. Many factors affect this demand. If a coin is rare, chances are, it is in great demand. However, there are some coins that are rare, or exotic, yet the demand for them remains low. If this is the case, then its market value will remain in the low end.
Before purchasing coins, one must do much research about that coin. He must assess its current market value and make sure that the coin is genuine. He should also consider how much he could earn if he resells the coin.
The American Numismatic Association is the largest numismatic organization in the world. It was founded in 1891 and was chartered by the Congress of the United States 21 years later. This group has the largest library of coins available. Collectors would love to visit their headquarters, the World Money Museum, which is one of the largest coin museums in the world.
Another organization, the American Numismatic Society, is the most active and respected nonprofit numismatic publisher in the world. They maintain a museum that contains more than a million objects. They also have a library that has one of the most comprehensive in coin collecting knowledge.
Whether you are a hobbyist or a serious collector, coin collecting will always bring a sense of fulfillment and history to your life. It is never too late to start collecting today. You cant lose! Your collection can only grow in value as the time passes by!

World of Warcraft Gold - Virtual Gold for Real Money

As J.R.R. Tolkien pointed out half a century ago, "All that is gold does not glitter." That statement seems particularly apt when applied to World of Warcraft gold. Not only is World of Warcraft gold the virtual currency of a virtual world -- and therefore doesn't glitter at all except on computer screens -- it's worth real gold on the world financial markets. In fact, World of Warcraft gold is worth more than many hard currencies, including the Japanese yen, Indian rupee, and Russian ruble. What's going on here?
A cross of gold
Recently, World of Warcraft gold peaked at almost a dime per gold piece -- not bad when you consider that the World of Warcraft MMORPG, where it's the prime unit of in-game currency, debuted in late 2004. The value of World of Warcraft gold is on par with the Mexican peso, and much better than, say, the Jamaican dollar (65 to the U.S. dollar). Why this run on World of Warcraft gold? Blame it on the five million people worldwide who play World of Warcraft (that's more people than live in the state of Colorado). To many of these people, and their millions of avatars striving to make a life in Azeroth, World of Warcraft gold is as real and as useful as the currency they use to buy sodas at the corner store.

The Art of Money Conversion

Some people are literally turning quarters into $20 Bills. It is not a scam or a magic trick, but a time-honored tradition.
Coin Piercing, a.k.a. cut-coin jewelry, dates back to the 17th century where by noblemen would partake in the fine and delicate art specifically to impress their true loves. Cut Coin Jewelry is the modern way to describe this artistic form of money conversion. There are various ways to describe jewelry made from coins. But no matter how one describes it, this art form is labor intensive and remarkable. An artist may begin with a quarter coin, but in the end it is transformed into a piece of artwork. A small coping saw is used to fashion each piece. A series of holes are drilled into a coin and a very fine blade is threaded through the hole and that section is carved out. This is repeated with each hole until the entire design is revealed. A vise is used to firmly hold the coin while it is being carved. Each piece is polished and possibly gold plated, partially for a two-tone effect, or completely gold plated.
According to Morning Glory Antiques, coin jewelry goes way back in history. Between the 1880s and World War II, it was particularly popular to etch and decorate coins by hand to create floral motifs and initials." Pieces like this are often called "sweetheart jewelry". This idea had sailors and soldiers bringing these back to their sweethearts. Coins would be worked over, smoothed, possibly engraved by hand with names, dates, designs or initials. Occasionally, even enameling was used as a highlight. Some jewelry uses the coin as-is, with no engraving. Coins may be pierced and joined as necklaces and bracelets, or mounted as brooches, rings and earrings.
This artform is growing in popularity. Mark Soukup was introduced to cut coin jewelry while visiting an arts and crafts show in Seal Beach, California in the mid-1990s. Knowing that he would someday move to an island where free time and no focus will ruin many a good man, he began to learn this form of craftsmanship, which enhances the inherent value and beauty of coins. Rare and Beautiful World Coins

Ideas for Collecting Coins from Around the World
Collecting world coins is a fun hobby that gives you the feeling of travelling the globe vicariously through your coins. A collection of world coins offers a unique insight into the culture and history of other countries, and encourages you to learn at least a few words of a variety of different languages. World coins can also be an interesting step into the world of coin collecting, because it is a relatively inexpensive pastime. Many of the coins are still in circulation, making them easy to find and light on the pocketbook to buy. Oftentimes, children start their coin collections with world coins for this reason.
Ideas for Collections of World Coins
While some people may enjoy collecting world coins haphazardly, simply enjoying whatever coins they happen to come across, others prefer more of a challenge. While it may be impossible to collect every coin from around the world, you can create a lovely coin collection that is challenging and fun to complete by selecting a particular theme to pursue.
The most obvious theme for a collection of world coins is a concentration on a specific country. If that idea seems a little bit stale, you can also broaden your collection by concentrating on a region or aspect of a country. For example, you could start a world coins collection from South American countries, nations where English is a national language, or from island nations.
Another interesting possibility is to combine two interests by concentrating on a favorite thing or hobby outside of coin collecting. For example, a coffee lover might collect world coins from countries that produce coffee beans, or an auto enthusiast might collect coins from countries that produce his or her favorite automobiles.
You dont have to use countries as a central point of your world coins collection, however; you can also build a collection around a specific motif on the coins themselves. Some people have collections of coins featuring a particular animal, such as an eagle or a panda bear. Others concentrate on flowers, trees, or birds. Someone interested in military history might enjoy a world coins collection featuring famous fighters, for example.
Another idea for starting a collection of world coins is to concentrate your efforts on coins from a particular year. Some people really enjoy collecting world coins that were minted in their birth year, or which commemorate another date that is important to them.
If none of those ideas appeal to you, perhaps youd like to concentrate on a specific metal used to make the world coins. While precious metals like gold and platinum are obvious choices, some people enjoy putting together collections of world coins minted from common nickel or copper.
If any of these ideas have inspired you to start a collection of world coins, you might want to pause a moment before you start building a collection, and check out the prices and availability of coins matching your desired theme. It wont be much fun to start a collection of gold bullion coins, only to realize that you cant afford more than one or two pieces. A few minutes with a world coins catalog will help you decide if your ideal theme for a collection is also feasible with your budget.
Congress Approves-9999 Fine Gold Coins

New .9999 fine (24 karat) 1-oz legal tender $50 gold coins will be added to the U.S. Mint's line of gold bullion coins in 2006 when President Bush signs into law a bill that Congress passed in December. The legislation calls for the Mint to have the coins ready to distribute by June 2006, but the coins may be ready before then.
The legislation authorizing the new .9999 fine gold coins was quite specific, mandating the design and even the method of packaging. For the first year of issuance, the coins "shall bear the original designs by James Earle Fraser, 'which appear on the 5-cent coin commonly referred to as the 'Buffalo nickel' or the '1913 Type 1'." This wording, without specifically saying it, calls for the obverse (front) of the coins to carry the famed Indian Head design by Fraser. The reverse will carry the equally-famed buffalo design.
Each Indian Head-Buffalo coin is to be encased in a protective capsule, possibly such as the capsules used by Australia's Perth Mint to protect its .9999 fine gold bullion coins, including the popular limited edition Lunar Series Gold Bullion Coins. The protective cases "shall be readily distinguishable" from the packaging for proof coins, which are also authorized by the bill.
For years, proof coins have been individually encapsulated in protective cases. Individually encapsulating bullion coins will be new to the U.S. Mint. The Mint's 22-karat (.9167 fine) American Gold Eagles, which are the world's best-selling gold bullion coins, are packaged twenty to a tube and are not individually encapsulated.
Production of the Indian Head-Buffalo coins will be unlimited, and they will be marketed toward gold investors who prefer .9999 fine (24-karat) gold coins. The U.S. Mint already has the world's best-selling gold bullion coins with its 22-karat (.9176 fine) Gold Eagles. Still, there is a huge market for pure gold coins, and the new Indian Head-Buffalo coins will give the U.S. Mint a product for that market. The Asian and Indian markets clearly prefer pure gold coins, while alloyed gold coins are more popular in the Western World.
Presently, the Royal Canadian Mint's .9999 fine Gold Maple Leafs are the world's best selling pure gold coins. However, the Gold Maple Leafs have fallen into disfavor with investors because of the ease with which they are damaged. To counter this, the Royal Canadian Mint recently introduced new packaging for the 1-oz Gold Maple Leafs.
The new packaging for the 1-oz Gold Maple Leafs will put the coins individually in capsules that are suspended in credit card sizes cards, twenty-five coins to a box. It is too early to gauge market acceptance of the new packaging for the Gold Maple Leafs.
Considering the popularity of the of Indian Head-Buffalo design, the U.S. Mint's new .9999 fine gold coins could provide stiff competition for the Gold Maple Leafs. Fraser's designs proved to be a winner in 2001 when the U.S. Mint produced a limited number of Indian Head-Buffalo $1 silver coins sets. The sets sold out immediately and today carry prices several times their initial offering prices.
The new Indian Head-Buffalo .9999 fine gold coins, however, will not be limited edition, at least not the first year. The bill permits the Mint to "change the maximum number of coins issued" in subsequent years. Further, the bill authorizes the Mint to change the designs on either the obverse or the reverse after the first year's production.
Although the U.S. Mint produces its popular American Gold Eagles in four sizes, 1-oz, -oz, -oz, and 1/10-oz, the new Indian Head-Buffalo pure gold coins will be minted in only one size: 1-ounce. With the popular Indian Head and Buffalo designs, the Mint's new .9999 fine gold coins could quickly become favorites with gold coin investors.

Fashionable Silver Earrings for Anytime and All the Time

It's been said that silver jewelry makes a person look youthful and energetic, while gold makes a person look sophisticated and mature. Hence, silver is a popular choice of the young for their adornments. It is also more practical, as it costs less than gold jewelry and is more widely available. There are more specialty shops that sell silver earrings, rings necklaces and bracelets, for example, than those that specialize in gold jewelry.
Silver jewelry has the impressive quality of being both affordable and stylish. Silver earrings are by no means "cheap" -- in fact, it is highly recommended as a complement to dark clothing, making for a very elegant and chic combination. Silver sets off dark colors and plays more on contrast, which makes for an extremely effective fashion statement. Silver jewelry and black attire is a favorite ensemble of artistes, as well as advocates of the popular "goth" movement.
All over the world, and throughout history, silver is thought of as a complement to gold. Silver as an element has been associated with the moon, while gold has been associated with the sun. The moon makes soft, mesmerizing silver ripples as it is reflected on a still lake. Its close relationship with moon imagery has made silver the color most commonly associated with dreams, fantasy and magic. Folklore has also endowed silver with special powers and healing properties.
Celebrities have also been known to patronize silver earrings. Oprah Winfrey and Sandra Bullock have sported chic chandelier-type silver pieces more than once. It is always interesting and a pleasure to behold the various styles and designs of celebrities silver jewelry, especially if it is worn in taste and in style.
A person who is building a collection of earrings should consider investing in a silver earring collection. In addition to being practical, the designs are immensely diverse and it doesnt hurt to know that silver earrings are all the rage!

How to Invest in Coins and Precious Metals

With the numerous investment opportunities available in the world today, some of the most basic investments are often overlooked. Take for example the often-ignored art of investing in collectable metals such as rare coins, silver bars, and other precious metals. Literally practiced for centuries around the world, many investors are now beginning to see the advantages of investing their money in physical objects to complement the investments that they might make in the stock market or other investment fronts.
If you've ever considered investing in coins and precious metals or if you'd just like to learn more about this alternative to stock investment, then the information below should get you well on your way to making your first coin and precious metal investments.
Why Invest in Coins?
Coins are one of the oldest forms of currency, and some of the most lasting reminders of eras gone by. Some coins from ancient days are made of gold, silver, copper, or even clay, and can be easily identified by the pictures used by those who minted the coin as to when and where the coin was made.
Putting money into collectable coins can be a practical way to invest, since many of the coins that serious collectors purchase are quite rare and often are made of high-value materials which only increase their value. As no additional coins from the era of those you purchase are being minted and they become increasingly harder to find as years go by, the value of many coins continues to rise among private collectors. Complete sets of coins tend to bring more as a group than the individual coins that the set is made of, though some coins of exceptional rarity may surpass even that price.
The Practical Approach to Metal Investment
In addition to coins, many investors prefer to purchase precious metals such as gold or silver to add some security to their investment plan. Even when stocks and bonds fall in value, there will always be a market for certain metals especially those that can be used in jewelry and have been used as a basis for various economies.
Of course, just because something has value doesn't mean that you should use all of your investment money to buy it. When buying precious metals, you should always temper your investment with other forms of investment. This helps to protect you against theft, since there are no easily traceable methods of finding stolen gold or silver bars and coins.
One of the better ways to supplement these purchases is by investing in the index market, especially in the precious metals that are represented there. That way you can keep track of the value of the metals that you physically own, and reap an additional benefit from owning shares of the metal index as well.
Using Coins and Metals to Supplement Investments
Coins and precious metals can be used as a wonderful supplement to traditional investments, giving you something physical that can be relied upon in addition to the stocks and bonds that you might own. You might choose to invest in indexes as suggested above, or you might choose to use index investment as only a portion of a well-diversified investment portfolio.
Regardless of which you choose, dividing your money and applying some of it toward physical investments such as coins and metals can help to protect your investment money from losses while reaping you the greatest benefit.

Why Go Gold Panning?

Gold panning is a great outdoor activity that can be fun for people of all ages and health. If you can walk slightly off the beaten path, you can pan for gold. Despite the metal detectors, sluice boxes, and other large equipment often associated with this activity, the equipment actually needed to successfully pan for gold is limited, affordable and light weight.
The Quest
The quest for gold is hardly a new thing. We all know of the gold rush and have heard stories about the vast amounts of gold that were found. While the large deposits of gold are not as easy to find now, the total amount of gold available has not decreased significantly. There is still plenty waiting -- for you.
It is estimated that only about 15% of the gold available was found during the gold rush. There are approximately 1 billion ounces of gold flowing through the streams in North America right now.
What You Need To Know To Start
One nice thing about gold panning is that there really isnt much that you need to know in order to regularly find gold. The necessary information to get started is fairly basic and any good prospecting shop will have the answers for you.
Find out about the local laws on gold panning and claim staking. Typically, it is legal for a person to pan gold anywhere that they like, as long as they are only using a gold pan. Some exceptions include native reserves and wild life reserves. Landowners usually do not own streams that pass through their land, but it is wise to seek permission in case of dogs or other dangers. As a hobbyist you can even gold pan on a staked claim, but the owner of the claim may become agitated and possibly ruin your day -- or worse.
Research the geology and history of the area where you are going by talking to a prospecting store. If there is no gold in that area, then there is no point in trying. However there may be other valuables there, such as silver, platinum, or precious stones that can be recovered.
Learn how gold flows along a stream. For example, gold often stops moving when it hits slow moving water. Because of its density, gold will quickly sink to the bottom of any dirt and rock. This means that gold is usually found behind a rock in a stream as the water eddies.
Get some basic training on how to gold pan. Gold panning isnt hard, but proper technique can mean the difference between finding lots or just a little.
Learn to identify gold in your pan. Once youve seen it, there is no mistaking it. Most prospecting stores have placer gold flakes on hand and if you ask nicely enough, they may allow you to put a flake in your pan along with some water and fine gravel.
So what are you waiting for?

Collecting Greek, Roman, and Other Old Coins

A Beginners Guide to Collecting Inexpensive Old Coins
Collecting old coins is like holding a piece of history right in your hand. It is common to find affordable ancient Roman coins that are 1600 years old, and many are even 2000 years old or more. Imagine that the ancient Roman denarius in your collection might once have bought admission to the gladiator fights in the Coliseum or chariot races at the Circus Maximum. The best thing about collecting old coins is that, unlike other antiquities, ancient coins are remarkably affordable. Because so many ancient coins have been discovered, and more are being unearthed every day, it is possible to buy millennia-old coins for only a few dollars apiece. For less than the cost of a movie ticket, you could own a link to olden times.
Things You Should Look For While Buying Old Coins
Unless you are looking to spend some serious money on your collection, the old coins that you buy will probably not be extremely valuable as an investment. However, that should not undermine the thrill of being able to own a genuine aged coin on a shoestring budget. There are numerous places, both online and off, that sell inexpensive old coins. The important thing to look for when buying these ancient coins is that the coin is identifiable. It is disappointing to buy an aged coin, only to realize that there is no way of telling what it actually is. The best way to ensure that an ancient coin is identifiable is to be certain that the writing and inscriptions on it are legible.
Buying Uncleaned Lots of Old Coins
Of course, there is another bargain option when buying ancient coins, and that is to buy a lot of uncleaned coins. These are old coins that have been unearthed in archaeologically rich areas like Italy or Greece, but have not had the dirt and buildup of the centuries cleaned from them. Uncleaned lots of elderly coins are exciting because you never know if the coins will be so worn that there is nothing left but a smooth piece of metal, or whether you will uncover a genuine rare coin. You should be aware, however, that the likelihood of finding a high-value gold or silver coin among uncleaned lots is extremely slim. Furthermore, the reason why uncleaned lots are sold to begin with is that cleaning old coins is a difficult endeavor in the best of circumstances. Removing large amounts of dirt and debris from ancient coins carries the risk of spoiling the coin.
How to Store Old Coins
Elderly coins, like elderly people, require tender handling. It is important to remember that one of the vital factors regarding the value of an old-time coin is the patina, or the sheen that builds up on the surface of a coin over time. The last thing you want to do is to polish an ancient silver coin so that it is bright and shining! When dealing with old coins, you should only hold them by the edges, since the oil on your hands can ruin the patina. Do not attempt to clean old coins on your own without learning a lot about the proper techniques. Only a veteran should attempt to clean a potentially valuable aged coin.
When storing old coins, always use acid-free materials; any other kind of storage could damage the coin. Youll need a safe place to keep your ancient coins. Some options include mylar flips, acid-free plastic sheets that go into three-ring binders, and even special collectors cases, if you want a particularly elegant look for your collection.

Why You Need To Buy and Sell Gold Coins (Part 2)

How to Collect Rare Coins

For Fun and Profit
Time has proven that collectors tend to make the most money in rare coins because they search out "undervalued coins" and buy during market lulls. Buying in today's market climate offers you superb upside profit potential.
PUT IN PERSPECTIVE Rare coins have an extremely limited, fixed supply which has historically increased in value when demand overwhelms availability. This fact is documented in the enclosed "Dow-to-Gold Report." It clearly shows how rare coins go up as well as down in price with varying market cycles. We believe the most successful Rare Coin portfolios were built in down markets by systematically assembling a variety of choice, rare, and desirable coins, with a three to five year, or longer, holding period in mind.
HAVE A PRECISE FOCUS Thousands of coins have been issued over the past 200 years. Very few collectors are experts on more than a few types of coins. For that reason alone, it's important to build a relationship with a firm that employs a team of knowledgeable Rare Coin Specialists and Numismatic Experts that are recognized as pillars of authority throughout the industry. Together, we can help you define your areas of interest, your investment goals, and our team of specialists can then guide you to a specific area of U.S. Coins designed to be both profitable and extremely enjoyable.
THE FOUR FACTORS FOR SUCCESS To profitably build a balanced and diversified Hard Asset Portfolio, you need to know the driving forces behind the U.S. Rare Coin Market:
* STRONG DEMAND We recommend U.S. Rare Coins that have a broad base of both active investors and collectors. The more wealthy, sophisticated, and avid the base of buyers in an area, the more successful your portfolio should be in the long run.
* SMALL SUPPLY We recommend U.S. Rare Coins of the highest quality for the date that you can afford. These are always the hardest to find, most desirable collector coins and have historically been top market performers. In our opinion, these coins are always in demand by collectors and will be the easiest coins to liquidate later, and turn the best profits.
* STRONG PERFORMANCE HISTORY Take the time to review the price history of any rare coin you purchase. Rare coins that have a good history of 200% to 300% price increases during recent bull markets, usually offer your an excellent profit potential in the next hot market. While past performance is no guarantee of future value, undesirable coins are losers in any market. It is of utmost importantance to remember that each rare coin must stand on the value of its own individual merit related to grade, price, eye appeal, and rarity.
* GENUINELY RARE Finally, we recommend you acquire a selection of Genuinely Rare United States coins. There are fundamentally two ways to determine a coin's rarity. That is "Condition Rarity" and "Absolute Rarity." Condition Rarity is a coin that is rare in higher grades. Some coins are common in worn, circulated grades, yet there could be only five coins known to exist in higher mint-state grades of MS-63 to MS-65. Absolute Rarity is a coin that is rare in any grade. These are truly desirable gold coins that are hard to locate and acquire in all grades. These few coins that are Absolutely Rare in any grade are the "Blue Chip Recommendations" of the U.S. Rare Coin Market.
May is Gold Month: Important Tips for Capitalizing on Gold Month Promotions

Jewelry retailers across the country are gearing up for May 1, the official start of gold month 2006. Since 2004, jewelers have used May as a platform to reach customers considering purchases for Mothers Day, graduation, first communion, confirmation and the bridal season. In addition to the gift-giving opportunities, the campaign is also designed to inspire self-purchase, encouraging customers to update their spring and summer wardrobe with new styles of gold jewelry.
Retailers should think beyond products when they are considering ways to attract new business during gold month 2006. Because the May is Gold Month event is really still in its infancy, it is important to establish an in-store theme to inform customers of the occasion, and any promotions the store is running in conjunction.
Here are a few tips to consider when preparing to attract new business during gold month this year:
Tell the World: Use retail signs in and outside the jewelry store to advertise gold month to people passing by. If customers are out shopping for a unique gift, they will be more likely to visit your jewelry store if theres a retail sign telling them about your promotion.
Show them What Youve Got: Consider a specialty jewelry display case that showcases a wide array of items featured for gold month. A special display case will be beneficial well beyond a gold month promotion. It will allow your store to highlight hand picked products for special events throughout the year.
Send the Message Home: Reinforce the gold month theme by using all gold colored jewelry packaging in the month of May. Consider custom printed jewelry boxes, shopping bags and gift bags, as well as the packaging extras like ribbons and bows to keep your store and gold month fresh in the customers mind.
May is Gold Month is your opportunity to set your company aside and capitalize on a customer base that is ready to buy. Be at your best by creating an environment that brings them in and keeps them coming back throughout the year. For additional inspiring ideas and products for your jewelry store, visit

E-gold Investing: Make Money With Currency Trading

Many people are already starting to pay attention to the newest online trend: E-gold investing.
E-gold investing is a all about a system that allows you to profit from the money that is being traded everyday on the internet. What you're doing when you are trading e-gold (or e-currencies) is that you are providing the backup for internet money. Let me go back a bit. What exactly do I mean by "backup for internet money"?
There is a cashflow of all of the money that is being moved throughout the internet every day. However, this money has to have, for every dollar that is being backed up, a physical backup of that dollar must exist.
This is a very superficial explanation about how the dxgold system works, but to be honest, to profit from it, you don't have to understand exactly how it works to profit from it. If I were to put the e-gold training courses into a metaphor I would say it's very much like driving a car. You don't need to know how it works in order to use it properly.
What you do need to know is the egold exchange process and every step of the way. This may sound complex, but once you get to know it, it becomes a daily routine that takes about five minutes just to check up on.
Investing in e-gold is something that I could describe as a great investing strategy, if you are investing in the long run.
It isn't as fast as a rising stock in wall street, it isn't something that will double your profits in a couple of days, but it is something you can expect to generate a good income from. And the important keyword in that past sentence would be to Expect, because this is a safe long term strategy that is guaranteed to make a profit for you.
This is why I personally think it is plain silly not to learn this currency trading system. You even know how much money you will make each day in advance.
For some it may be tough, but saving a couple of hundred dollars and investing in e-gold can be a very wise decision. As many people have experienced already, it can even turn into a "hands off" second income without the 8 to 5 job.
E-gold is all about discipline. Is about the discipline of having your money work for you and letting it grow, without getting an urge of a shopping spree and taking your money out of your account.
If you think you can wait for a few months and are interested in getting a second income, then the e-gold system could be a good fit for you.

World of Warcraft Gold Guide

Having enough Gold in World of Warcraft is one of the most important aspects of the game. Gold has a major effect on your game play. Gold of course has their common known usage in a mmorpg game which is used to buy and sell items from vendors and other players. In world of Warcraft, gold can be used for training. To learn new skills you are required to pay the trainer a fee. Alot of gold would be required to perfect your character. Here are some tips to help you farm World of Warcraft Gold.

Grabbing a profession early in the game can most definitely have its advantage. You are able to level up your profession easily and gain its benefits. 2 professions we highly suggest starting with is mining and skinning. As you kill animals and other creatures in World of Warcraft you can easily skin the animals and sell them to vendors or other players with a nice load sum of profit. You are also leveling your profession as well. While you're out leveling your character I'm sure you will kill a numerous amount of mobs that you can skin. The mining profession is another great profession. You will oftenly run into caves which may have some very prosperious mineral ores. Some minerals are very popular in the game and are highly demanded.

Questing in World of Warcraft is unlike any other MMORPG released. Quests are one of the biggest advantages you can have in the game. While you're out leveling grab a quest each time you get. Only takes a matter of seconds. Not only will you receive EXP from killing the mobs in the quest but you will also gain additional EXP from completing the quest along with some nice items and money. A great bonus added to help players level faster and get richer of course.

Gears in World of Warcraft can get quite expensive. Alot more expensive than just training. From levels 1-40 I highly suggest not investing any money on buying gears or items. Low level characters are not too gear dependent. The quests should be able to provide you just about everything you need. Save the extra gold you have for higher level gears.

Certain types of mobs tend to have better drops than others. From what we've noticed so far, humanoids tend to drop more gold and items than any other creature in the game. So while you're out leveling away, try to kill as many humanoids as you can.

Silver - The Magical Metal

Silver is an element that has been used for thousands of years. Silver has been used as money. During one of the world wars, silver was used occasionally for wiring in electronic devices. I have heard that one of the atomic bombs, that was used in World War 2 contained silver wiring. That makes silver very famous, or infamous. Silver has also been used in photography for many years.
There is another use for silver though, which has pretty much been forgotten about. Before antibiotics were discovered, silver was used to treat infectious diseases and infected wounds. Years before antibiotics, silver solutions were used to kill micro organisms. The solution of silver is called colloidal silver.
Colloidal silver is made using electricity. Thin strips of silver are attached to wires and suspended in pure distilled water. The metal you use must be pure, 100% silver. The wires are connected to several batteries or a high voltage source of electricity. The silver breaks down in the water, into an ion form, and is suspended in the water. The electricity causes the silver to mix with the water at a microscopic level. The tiny microscopic particles of silver are electrically charged and suspended in the water. Often the color of a colloidal silver solution is light yellow, with an almost golden tint.
Colloidal silver is described by the FDA as being a pre-1938 drug. It is still legal to advertise, sell and use colloidal silver for the same treatments used at that time. It is thought that colloidal silver, destroys viruses, fungi, bacteria or other micro organisms by turning off their oxygen metabolism enzyme. Without receiving the oxygen the organism needs, it will die.
It is likely that this property was first found when someone dropped a pure silver coin in a cup of milk, and came back much later to find the milk still fresh and good to drink.
Silver coins come in two types, numismatic and bullion coins. Bullion coins are made of the pure metal so a silver bullion coin would be close to 100% silver content. Numismatic coins are not pure metal coins. They are made of an alloy, a mixture of metals. Their value is derived more from their rarity, than their metal content.
The advantage to using real silver or gold coins as a monetary system, the way it was done in the old days, is that they have real value in themselves. The silver or gold has its own value, and is recognised as having real value. Contrast that with paper money, which only has an artificial value placed on it by the governmental body which issued the bank note. A note legally speaking is an instrument of debt, the opposite of what money should be. A note indicates someone owes something to by paid to another person.
Silver is a wondrous metal. It is almost magical. It has value in itself. It can help capture an image, help show your reflection in a mirror, kill what is making you sick and at a pinch wire your electronic devices.
Buying Jewelry For Your Business Part 1: Buying Gold Jewelry

Whether you presently own a retail or web based business and are looking for an additional profit center or you are thinking of starting a business, jewelry is a no-brainer choice for a proven product category. The buying public, (particularly women) never tires of jewelry as the choices in color, materials, finishes and styles are endless and innovations are continual. Every generation reinvents jewelry for itself in much the same way that it reinvents music and fashion. Styles change but the basic facts remain the same. If you are a seasoned professional, please consider the following a refresher course. To the new comer, use this information as a foundation for your ongoing jewelry education.
The Facts About Gold Jewelry

Where To Invest Your Money

If you are new to investing, or even if you've been playing the market for a while, investment options can be overwhelming. Stocks, bonds, mutual funds. How do you pick the best place to invest your money? That's quite a decision!
Here are some tips that can help you get started:
If you are planning for a long-term investment, it may be wisest to go with stocks. History shows that stocks outperform other investing options over the long term. For example, from 1926 to 2004, the stock market had an average annual gain of 10.4%, compared with only 5.4% for bonds and even less for other forms of investing.
That said, stocks may not be such a good option for short-term investing. They tend to be more risky and can undergo severe losses. Unless you're planning to keep your money there for a long time, you might not want to weather the stress of the stock market's ups and downs. Overall, a company's earnings are going to be the biggest player in a stock's fluctuation.
If you're willing to take a little bit of risk with your investing-or a lot-you probably will notice a bigger payoff. Stocks, for example, are a riskier investment than bonds. But again, stocks tend to bring in a much higher return. On the other hand, there is also the chance that your stock will dip and you may suffer a great loss. That's all part of the game.
If you're looking for a low-risk, surefire investment strategy, U.S. Treasury bonds may be the way to go. The government has a lot of power over these bonds. Because of this, investing in these bonds is generally considered risk-free. Keep in mind, however, that bonds don't do so well when interest rates rise. Conversely, when interest rates go down, bond prices rise. This is particularly true with long-term bonds.
To be safe, the best advice is to diversify your portfolio. If you practice investing in a number of different areas, you are least likely to lose it all. (Remember the Enron scandal? Don't make that mistake!) Some investments will go up, others will go down. But at least you can be pretty sure you won't lose it all. Chances are, with a little research, some self-education, and careful investing, you'll build your savings substantially. Happy investing!
